If music is your jam, this year's annual Willie Nelson’s Fourth of July Picnic is a great option. The legendary Willie Nelson will be joined by an all-star lineup that includes Bob Dylan, Robert Plant, Alison Krauss, Maren Morris, and more. This event will take place at the Freedom Mortgage Pavilion from 1 to 11 pm on July 4th. It's not just a concert—it's a summer tradition of Willie’s that is coming to Philadelphia for the first time – and it’s bringing some of the greatest names in music to one stage. Grab your tickets early, as this is one event that will likely sell out!

For a day of poolside relaxation with a twist, head over to the WET Deck and Bar at The W Hotel where Queer underground dance party icons, DJs Redevil and The Nightowl, will be spinning their magic on July 4th from noon to 7 pm. Bring your friends, rent a cabana, sip on cocktails, and even get to shop at a retail pop-up hosted by Souvenir. This event promises fun vibes, great music, and a chance to support designers and artists from Philadelphia and beyond.

For a dash of history, then a visit to the National Constitution Center on Independence Day is a must. Offering free admission in celebration of our country’s birthday, the center will host special programs for all ages both indoors and outside from 10 am to 4 pm. Lean into the history of the United States, participate in fun exhibits, and enjoy family-friendly activities—all without spending a dime.

Don’t forget about your four-legged family members this 4th of July! Since most pups aren’t fans of the fireworks, spend the day at Craft Hall's Unleashed, a dog park and beer garden that allows your furry friends to be part of the celebrations. Spend the day enjoying great food, refreshing beers, and a space where your pup can run free without the fear of those startling booms — a win-win for everyone!

And no Independence Day celebration would be complete without a parade. The Salute to Independence Parade is the city’s annual showcase described as one of the country’s largest Independence Day parades. Thousands of people line up to watch a variety of groups marching down the streets, including bands and performers from across the nation. The parade kicks off at 11 am at 2nd and Market streets, making its way west to City Hall, and promises a display that’ll get you in the patriotic mood right quick.
