Where to See 4th of July Fireworks in Philadelphia

Our beloved city, the birthplace of the United States, the hometown of cheesesteaks and water ice, is pulling out all the stops this July 4th. Philadelphia is set to put on not one, but two shows that'll have you ooh'ing and aah'ing. Philadelphia's Delaware River Waterfront Fireworks and Wawa Welcome America Fireworks are both so large (and free!) that their fireworks can be seen from multiple prime locations across the city. Read on to find the perfect spot to set up camp and watch enough fireworks to light up every cobblestone of Elfreth's Alley.

June 29th at Delaware River Waterfront Fireworks

For an earlier July 4th celebration, the Delaware River Waterfront will be sending off fireworks on June 29th at 9:30 PM. With several parks and piers offering unobstructed views, it’s a popular choice for those looking to enjoy the display with the added benefit of a cool river breeze in your hair. The waterfront can be best accessed by the 2nd Street stop on the Market-Frankford Line, SEPTA bus routes 21 and 42.
