Where to Watch the 2024 Olympics in Philadelphia
I think we can all agree that the Summer Olympics are better than the Winter Olympics….right? You’ve got your basketball, your tennis, your diving, your gymnastics. With winter you get, what - curling? No shade to my curling fans, but the winner seems clear. With the 2024 Summer Olympics kicking off today, some of your favorite restaurants and bars share my love for the Summer Olympics and are pulling out all the stops to bring a touch of Olympic excitement right to our city. The Olympics have always been about bringing people together, and what better way to do that than with great food, drinks, and a shared love of sports?
Patchwork, located inside the Hyatt Centric, is jumping into the Olympic spirit with a special menu to celebrate Team USA. Here you’ll find the Firecracker Cocktail for $16, made with vodka, Meyer lemon, cherry, and Curaçao. Sounds refreshing, right? Pair that with a juicy Burger or a classic Philly Roast Pork for just $29. It’s the perfect way to enjoy the games with a bit of a patriotic twist!
Over on Passyunk Avenue, Townsend is upping the ante with a Chef’s Tasting Menu priced at $95 per person, available from July 26th to August 11th. If you’re into fine dining, you’ve got to check this out. They’re offering a special Chef’s Tasting Menu ($95/person) from July 26 through August 11, celebrating the Paris 2024 Summer Olympics. We’re talking Confit Rabbit Tortellini, Roasted Duck Breast, and a dreamy Valrhona Chocolate Soufflé. C'est délicieux!
Craft Concepts Group is adding an international flair to the Olympics with their unique passport program. Start your journey at Uptown Beer Garden and collect stamps from various themed venues like Bru (Germany) and Sueño (Mexico), each offering country-specific drinks. Collect all stamps before the closing ceremony, and you'll earn a Craft Concepts Group gift card! This adventure runs from July 26th to August 11th.
Panorama Wine Bar is also getting into the Olympic spirit by offering two exclusive wine flights from July 26th to August 11th. The first flight takes you on a journey through French wine regions, while the second offers a taste of wines from around the world, celebrating the diverse nations competing in the Olympics.
And if a grander experience is what you’re after, head to Xfinity Live!. They’ll be showing the Olympics daily on their giant 58-foot screen inside the NBC Sports Arena. And they’re opening early for the U.S. men’s basketball games on July 28 and 31. Plus, on August 3, they’re hosting a ticketed Taco Fest event where you can watch the game and enjoy some tasty tacos.
Grab a drink at any of these locations and cheers to celebrating the Olympics the Philly way – with awesome food, fantastic drinks, and the best company. Go Team USA!
(Okay, to be honest, I am a bit of a fan of curling, too)
