Philadelphia's public pools are opening for the 2024 season, and we've got all the details you need. With 25 pools opening their gates on different dates all next week, there's a spot for everyone to enjoy a perfect summer day.  Let the summer fun begin!

Monday, June 17

Starting on Monday, June 17, get ready to dive into the cool waters of Chew Pool at 1800 Washington Ave., or make your way to Kelly Pool at 4231 Lansdowne Dr. Also opening that day are Hunting Park Pool at 900 Hunting Park Ave., and Scanlon Pool at 1099 E. Tioga St. 

Tuesday, June 18 

On Tuesday, June 18, you can splash around at Mitchell Pool located at 3700 Whitehall Lane, or enjoy Penrose Pool at 1101 W. Susquehanna Ave. The lively neighborhood of Fishtown will see the gates open at Fishtown Pool on 1202-32 E. Montgomery Ave. Likewise, Christy Pool at 728 S. 55th St. will welcome swimmers with its refreshing waves. Perfect for an after-work dip or a mid-day escape!

Wednesday, June 19 

Wednesday, June 19, brings new opportunities to cool off at Kendrick Pool at 5822-24 Ridge Ave., join friends at Murphy Pool at 300 Shunk St., or take a dip at Fox Chase Pool on 7901 Ridgeway St. For those near Chelten Ave., Lonnie Young Pool at 1100 E. Chelten Ave. will also be an option. 

Thursday, June 20 

Philadelphia Public Pools 2024 Opening Schedule and Locations

Come Thursday, June 20, you can head over to Vogt Pool at 4131 Unruh Ave., or dive in at Cherashore Pool located at 851-951 W. Olney Ave. Another exciting spot to visit is Houseman Pool at 5091 Summerdale Ave. 

Friday, June 21 

As the weekend approaches, start your Friday, June 21, with a visit to American Legion Pool at 6201 Torresdale Ave., or swing by Shepard Pool at 5700 Haverford Ave. On the same day, you can also enjoy the sparkling waters of Gathers Pool at 2501-19 W. Diamond St. 

Saturday, June 22 

Cut to June 22 - Saturdays are for fun, and these pools provide the perfect venues for it. Head to Bridesburg Pool at 4625 Richmond St., or visit J. Finnegan Pool at 6801 Grovers Ave. For those near Johnston St. and Gaul St., Barry Pool at 1800 Johnston St. and Samuel Pool at 3539 Gaul St. will be waiting for you.

Sunday, June 22 

And finally, round off your week with Sunday, June 23. Take a refreshing plunge into Lackman Pool at 1101 Bartlett St., or experience family fun at Sacks Pool at 400 Washington Ave. Don’t forget to check out Francisville Pool at 1737 Francis St. for another fantastic swimming option.

With pool lifts now available at multiple locations, including Christy, Fox Chase, and Penrose pools, everyone in the community can enjoy Philadelphia's public pools. Also, make sure to visit the city's 90+ spraygrounds open daily through Labor Day.
